Fatu's story

This is 70-year-old Fatu, a married mother with four children, ages are 12 through 21 years. All of her children are currently in school and live at home.

Fatu deals in a business where she sells flour, rice, sugar, palm oil and vegetable oil, a business she has operated for 15 years and has no problems with her sales. She transports supplies to her business site by using a car. She learned how to sell from her late aunty. She sells Monday through Saturday.

To continue her sales, Fatu applied for a loan through BRAC Liberia and Kiva field partner. The loan will be used to purchase more flour, rice, sugar, palm oil and vegetable oil to sell to her good clients. She likes her business because it gives her money on a daily basis.

In the future, Fatu wants to deals in an international business. She wishes to say thanks.
