Sabuyuma Group's story

Amadou is the gentleman holding the ram’s horn in the photo. A Malien farmer, he did not go to school, is aged 31, and the father of 2 children aged 1 year and 6 years who are not yet old enough to go to school.

His wife is a housewife who trades peanuts and various items and helps him a lot in looking after the animals. She loves her husband’s work very much. Amadou has been doing this activity of raising sheep and goats for three years. He stocks up on the local markets and sells in those same markets.

He is resorting to an RMCR loan through the partnership with RMCR to develop his activity since he does not have the necessary funds for a running capital. He is on his second loan with the RMCR. The profits he earned allowed him to take care of the needs of his two children.

He has been confronted with a sales slump. He puts a lot of passion into his activity because he is happy to contribute to the economic development of his community.

In the future he wishes to have a bigger loan to become a great sheep and goat raiser in his village.
