Muong Phang 22 Group's story

Mrs. Ua is a 33-year-old Thai ethnic woman who is married and has two children. Currently, she lives with her husband and the kids in a Thai traditional stilt house in the poor and remote village of Dien Bien province where agriculture is the main income-generating activity of the locals.

Like other villagers, Mrs. Ua works very hard at farming and breeding with several activities such as growing rice, raising poultry, fish and pigs, to provide for her daughters and to send them to school.

This is the seventh time she has taken out a loan from the Anh Chi Em program to buy baby fish. She hopes that those fish will grow up fast and healthy. She plans to use the profit to buy fish to raise again.

Mrs. Ua dreams that she can provide her children with a more abundant life with better living conditions and a better education so that they will have a brighter life.
