Toakase's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy pandanus for her weaving and mulberry for her tapa making.

Toakase's story

Toakase is 38 years old and married with three children. Toakase weaves and makes tapa to earn a living. She and eight other women in the village meet daily, and together they weave mats and taovala and make tapa. They arranged for Saturday to be their only day for tapa making and have the rest of the week for weaving.

Toakase sells her products at the local market and to her relatives overseas. This is her family's main source of income. Now Toakase has applied for a loan to buy pandanus and mulberry for her business.

Toakase's vision is for her children to finish their education and live a better life.
