Mele's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy pandanus and mulberry for her business of weaving and tapa-making.

Mele's story

This is Mele. She is 46 and married with six children. Together they live at their own home.

Mele runs a business of weaving and tapa-making. She is a member of a group where they do weaving and tapa-making together. There are nine members of them altogether. They conduct their tapa-making only on Saturdays of every week. They spend the rest of the week weaving. They weave different products such as taovala, mats and fihu, but with white pandanus only.

Mele exports her goods overseas to her relatives for marketing. Not all of her goods are for sale, but she saved up some for her family's future needs.

She applied for a loan in order to buy pandanus and mulberry.
