Dorcas's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy farm inputs such as seeds and fertilizers to improve her production and make more profit for this humble mother.

Dorcas's story

Dorcas (a 30-year-old mother of four) is characterized by her sense of responsibility, her independence, and her great desire to achieve. She works very hard on her mixed farm because she wants the best for her family. She is a mixed crop and dairy farmer.

The biggest problem that farmers from Eldoret face is the huge deficit in access to agricultural inputs, meaning those farmers' yields and incomes are far below what they could be.

Juhudi Kilimo partnered with Kiva to provide financial services to smallholders around Kenya. Through these financial services, farmers from Eldoret, like Dorcas, now can buy productive assets and important agricultural inputs for use on their farms. Dorcas is seeking a loan to buy farm inputs such as seeds and fertilizer. Your loan will enable her to improve her production through the use of quality farm inputs. This intervention will help her fill the increasing demand for food in the market and, in the process, generate more income to repay the loan debt and to improve the quality of life for her family.

Kindly and humbly lend to this mother who has wished all lenders a happy and prosperous year 2020.
