Cheche Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to purchase the ACE 1 energy system in order to have access to solar power for lighting, charging, and cooking in a way that is safer, cleaner, and saves money.

Cheche Group's story

Malerato is a 56-year-old woman who lives in a multi-bedroom house without access to electricity with four other family members, including three children. Malerato relies on commercial farming and struggles with insufficient income and buying fuel. She spends the most of her energy expenses on gas, which costs up to LSL 170 per month. She also spends as much as two hours per day gathering fuel and fulfilling other energy needs like phone charging. Malerato and the other members of the group in this village each bought the ACE 1 cookstove to help them save the money that they would spend every month on fuel and also help them access solar electricity for charging their mobile devices any time for free.

The ACE 1 clean cookstove is biomass- and solar-powered. For more information on the ACE1 cookstove, please visit www.africancleanenergy.com and Facebook @African Clean Energy
