Duteraninkunga Mahoko Group's story

Jean Baptiste is a 40-year-old father of five children. He is very committed to the wellbeing of his family. He works hard to provide for his family and realize his dream and goal, which is to improve his family living conditions.

For the past 8 years, Jean Baptiste has sold wood with one employee. He has gained a significant number of customers already yet he wants to expand his business. However, he lacks capital, and for that reason he is requesting this loan in order to buy more inventory and be in possession of sufficient stock of wood to increase his sales.

A part of the profits generated by this loan will be used to pay for his children's school fees. Furthermore, this is Jean Baptiste’s first loan cycle with VisionFund Rwanda, and he is the DUTERANINKUNGA MAHOKO group leader. With this loan he will be in a position to expand his business and then improve his family living conditions.

Consequently, Jean Baptiste is sincerely thankful towards the Kiva lenders for offering him this loan so that he can expand his business then realize his dream and hope of improving his family living conditions.
