01_Slorong Group's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support

A loan helped to pay for bread to resell.

01_Slorong Group's story

This 'banc villageois’, which was set up in town in September 2008, is composed of six women living in the same village. They are parents and friends, and they keep up good interrelationships. They have paid back over ten loans on time. Their main work involves commerce.

The group's representative, Ms. Amy, is 56 years old and appears at the right in the photo with a hand raised. She is the married mother of ten children, including three daughters. She is active in small-scale commerce selling bread, which comes from the bakers in town and is sold from a kiosk at her home. She capitalizes on several years of good experience in this sector of commerce.

She is going to purchase 100 kg of bread each day to resell at a profit. Her supplies come from three bakers, and it all works out smoothly. With the profits, she envisions covering the cost of her children’s education and bolstering her savings within the 'banc villageois’.
