A loan helped to buy fruit to resell.

01_Slorong Group's story

Established in town since September 2008, this "banc villageois" brings together these eleven women who live in the same village. They are parents, friends, and maintain good relationships. They repaid more than 10 loans on time. Their main business is in retail.

Madame Issa, the representative, is 51 years old and is on the far right of the photo with her hand raised. She is married and the mother of four children, two boys and two girls.

Madame Issa has a small business selling seasonal fruits; she buys in bulk from large merchants and resells at the bus station in her town. She capitalizes on several years of experience in this sector of retail.

With her loan, she plans to buy 1 load of watermelons, cases of mandarins that she will resell with a good profit margin. She has a loyal clientele and has mastered her business. Her profits will allow her to increase her savings at the "banc villageois" and to improve her family's living conditions.
