Mark's Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to purchase hybrid seeds and fertilizer to improve harvests of maize.

Mark's Group's story

Pictured above is Mark, often described as an extremely hardworking individual. He is 69 years old and has ten children. As a group leader, he is representing his group of 11 farmers in Alego District, Kenya.

Mark is returning this season to work with One Acre Fund again, as this means that he can earn enough to feed his family, which is why he decided to join in the first place. Mark says that he is happy to have made that decision because, since he first joined in 2016, he has been able to consistently feed his family, which has improved his day-to-day life significantly. Mark will use the profits from this season to repair his home.

The group will use this loan to purchase seeds and fertilizer to plant a total of 7.25 acres.
