A loan helped to buy livestock to increase her livestock-breeding income.

Kanyshai's story

The 60-year-old Kanyshai is married, with one son. College educated, she is familiar with agricultural techniques and knows how to use resources for their intended purpose. She has been raising livestock since 1993, and this is her family's main source of income. Thanks to Kanyshai's hard work, her farm presently consists of two cows, a horse, ten sheep, and a 1.0-hectare plot of land on which she grows alfalfa. In summer she puts her livestock out to pasture, and in winter she keeps them in her barn. She stockpiles the alfalfa as winter fodder.

In order to develop her business further, Kanyshai has turned to Bai Tushum Bank for a loan of 60,000 som (KGS) to buy livestock. Her aim in this is to increase her livestock-breeding income. Kanyshai is planning to put the income generated by the loan into developing her farm going forward and improving her family's well-being.
