Saydah's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy more cosmetics, lappa (wrapper) and medicine to sell.

Saydah's story

Saydah is 39 years old. She is married with 2 children. Both of her children are presently attending school while living at home. She went to school up to the 10th grade. Her main source of income is business; mainly selling cosmetics, lappa (also called wrapper which is a garment made from traditional cloth) and medicine. She started a few years back with an objective of increasing her business.

She has applied for a loan with BRAC Liberia. The loan will be used to buy more cosmetics, lappa (wrapper) and medicine to sell and increase her business. She is hopeful that with increased inventory, her sales will also improve, thus bettering her finances to provide for family. She learned the trade from her mother and started selling with her own savings. Saydah is grateful for the financial support from the lenders that will give her a boost. In the future she would like to build a house and continue educating her children.
