A loan helped to buy more charcoal, rice, oil, soap, Vita, onions, vegetable oil and bread.

Korpo's story

Korpo is 51 years old, married and has two kids; they live on their own. Korpo attended school until ninth grade.

She deals in a business selling charcoal, rice, oil, soap, Vita, onions, vegetable oil and bread. For the past 12 years, she has been operating her sales.

She started to sell with her own savings, and her mother taught her how to sell. She sells Monday through Saturday.

To increase business, she applied for a loan through BRAC Liberia, a Kiva field partner. This loan will help her to buy more charcoal, rice, oil, soap, Vita, onions, vegetable oil and bread in order to further build her business.

She likes her business because it brings in more profits. In the future, Korpo wants to build her house. She wishes to say thanks to BRAC and the Kiva community.
