Josephine's story

Josephine is a 55-year-old businesswoman from Talavera, Nueva Ecija. She is happily married to Lauro, a factory worker, and blessed with two children.

Josephine has managed a canteen in her town for almost eleven years, selling different kinds of specialties or foods that she cooks. Aside from that, she also manages a small sari-sari store which provides for the family's daily needs.

Josephine has had a good repayment record with Alalay sa Kaunlaran Inc. (ASKI) for about ten years. Her previous loan helped her to support her children's needs. Josephine has been granted another loan request of 40,000 PHP under ASKI's business loan program.

Josephine's loan will be used to buy cooking ingredients such as vegetables, fruits, condiments, etc. to offer different specialty foods so that she can generate more income to support her family's needs. Josephine's dream is to be successful in life to provide her family with better lives. She believes that, with the help of ASKI and Kiva lenders, her business will expand.
