Jemimah's Group's story

Jemimah is 48 years old and has 3 children. She has been a farmer for more than 20 years and is always said to be a very experienced farmer. Even though Jemimah is the only one featured above, she is representing her group of 6 farmers in Alego District, Kenya.

Jemimah started working alongside One Acre Fund a few years ago, in 2013, and decided to do so because she wanted to earn enough to feed her family. Since then, she has seen her life improve, especially because she has been able to save more money. This year, she decided to represent her group because she wanted to be more active in her community.

Jemimah’s Group will receive farming inputs to plant 1.75 acres of land. The group will also receive 2 solar lights.
