Christina's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy seedlings, pesticide, and a market container, as well as cover labor costs for her farming.

Christina's story

Christina is a 28-year-old single mother of two children. They live in a community outside Honiara, the capital of Solomon Island.

Christina has a garden where she grows root crops, vegetables, and coconuts that she can sell at the market to earn a living. She has been in this business for one year.

She has requested a loan to pay for additional vegetable seedlings, pesticides, and a market container, as well as cover labor costs for her farming activities. She plans to use her profits to meet her family's weekly expenses and grow her business.

She joined SPBD in 2019 to gain access to financial services for her business.
