Esperance's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support

A loan helped to increase the variety of products she offers in her grocery store.

Esperance's story

Esperance runs a grocery store in one of the six refugee camps in Rwanda. As a wife and mother of five, Esperance and her family left their country of origin, Congo, due to increased violence and mass killings.

Resettling in Rwanda, she decided to start a business to gain additional income to support her family because the UNHCR stipend was not enough to provide all their needs.

She has been a successful entrepreneur and already has paid back one loan from AEC. The previous loan helped her to increase her working capital and increase her inventory. Another loan to Esperance will help her introduce new products in her grocery store which will increase her customers and profits, meeting client demand for new types of products.
