Jose Santos's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support

A loan helped to buy corn, cheese, fried pork belly, and other ingredients for his business making and selling pupusas. He will also invest in propane gas and a refrigerator to improve his inventory.

Jose Santos's story

José says that he is asking for a loan in order to continue growing his business. The loan will help him to buy corn, cheese, fried pork belly, and other ingredients for his business making and selling pupusas (a traditional Salvadoran stuffed thick torilla). He will also invest in propane gas and a refrigerator to improve his inventory. José hopes to be able to establish his new business on a stronger footing, since in that way his pupusa selling business will allow him to earn new income. He has an employee who helps him run his general store and his employee also helps him with pupusa sales.

His previous loan was used to strengthen and grow the business. The opening of his pupusería, or pupusa shop, has been a success, because this product has garnered great interest from his customers. Currently his business is stable and it is a bit more profitable, but he wants to continue working to grow economically.
