Liyoka's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to pay for a solar submersible pump to provide water for his poultry.

Liyoka's story

Liyoka is a 49-year-old smallholder poultry farmer. He is based in Lusaka province of Zambia.

Liyoka has been in poultry farming for over five years and incubates and rears chickens. Liyoka has had to rely on government water for the chickens' water supply. However the current climate change in Zambia has affected the rain patterns, hence affecting water levels. Liyoka will need to find an alternative source of water for his poultry.

Liyoka is asking for a loan in order to obtain a solar submersible water pump to help him pump water from a borehole for his chickens' water supply.
Rent-To-Own will deliver and install the pump at Liyoka's farm and train him on how to use and maintain it so that it may continue to work for him for a long time to come.
