Adrienne's story

I grew up in Cincinnati Ohio. I spent 11 years in the Air Force and received an honorable discharge. I got diagnosed with Fibromyalgia and have been on disability since 1997. Working with plants and flowers helped me heal physically and mentally. Through a disabled veterans program I was able to attend a college and in 2015 graduated Magna Cum Laude with an Associates of Business degree in Landscape Horticulture. I then attended a 3 week Floral Certification class and received a Certificate in Floral Design and Shop Operations. I interned for three and a half years with a successful entrepreneur Florist who recently retired. I want to bring my knowledge and experience to the community. My dreams are to help bring another generation of florists to the field by providing a place that they can come advance the skills they already have and give them a place to gain confidence in their skills. Mentorship basically. I also would like to help children discover the beauty of plants which can assist them with healing and recover from trauma and in turn provide an alternative to engaging in a negative lifestyle. I recently graduated (November 12, 2019) from the Mortar Entrepreneurial Program here in Cincinnati, Ohio.
