Dulce Corazon Group's story

The president of the Community Bank of Friendship Bridge Dulce Corazon is Flor, who is 30 years old. For more than five years she has sold personal products, household items and cleaning products through catalog sales.

She is a married woman, and her husband is a driver of a three-wheeled vehicle called a mototaxi. With the income, the couple joins efforts to provide the basic conditions of their two children (5 and 10 years).

Flor wants to increase the inventory of the business to increase sales this Christmas. With the proceeds, she will save for the elementary education expenses of the following year.

Flor is requesting the first Kiva loan to buy more personal care products and disinfectants that are the ones most demanded by the clientele.

Nine are the women who are part of this communal bank, which is located in the coastal area of ​​the department (state) of Retalhuleu. They want to invest in small businesses that range from small restaurants to product sales by catalog.

They join more than 30,000 women who learn to manage their loans through the Microcredito Plus program (loans, education, health).

In the monthly meetings, they participate anxiously in educational training that provides them with effective commercial tools such as planning, budgeting, investment.
