A loan helped to purchase more rice, oil, sugar and vita, to sell.

Patience's story

Meet 29 year old Patience, from Liberia. She is a single mother with one, 11 year old child who lives at home, as she is still in school. Patience is a high school graduate. She sells rice, oil, sugar and vita in order to earn a living. She learned how to sell from her mother and her mother also gave her money to start the business. She has had no problems with her business and has been operating her sales for nine years now. She sells six days a week. Patience requested this loan from BRAC Liberia, a Kiva Field Partner, to purchase more rice, oil, sugar and vita, to sell, and grow her business. She likes her business because it has empowered her life. In the future, she wants to build her store. She says thanks and sends her appreciation to the BRAC and Kiva communities for their support.
