A loan helped to buy feed for her chickens.

Marie Ann's story

Marie Ann is 40 years old, is married, and has two children who are currently schooling. Her husband is a government employee. Through her husband's salary, she is able to provide their daily household needs. To supplement her husband's earnings, Marie Ann engages herself in the poultry and hog-raising business. She has been in this type of industry for almost two years. While managing her poultry and piggery business, she cooks food for snacks and sells it to different establishments.

Her goal is to make a greater income so she could save more for the future of her children. She wants to borrow a loan of PHP 50,000 to buy feed for her chickens. Marie Ann believes that by giving enough feed to her chickens will quickly produce eggs that she will sell to the store owners.
