Fernando's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped develope a Co-creation wood workshop, open to the local creative community of Puerto Rico.

Fernando's story

Fernando is a multidisciplinary maker with over 15 years of experience building furniture and products, with exceptional attention to details. From a young age, Fernando shared a passion for fine arts and the old trades. He worked with a variety of materials and fabrication methods, from molten glass at temperatures over 1400 degrees Fahrenheit, too cold and hot metalworks cutting and welding steel by torch, too fine woodworking, and creating beautiful woodwork and furniture. After working as an Engineer and leading a manufacturing facility, Fernando decided it was time for a change and follow his latent passion for woodworking to do things that are closer to his heart. Six months ago, he officially left behind his comfort zone and been working hard, acquired necessary tools and equipment, and obtained a temporary location to develop this new venture. The initiative serves a duality of end-goals. The primary goal is to develop an innovative Design and Build furniture brand. That will help and feed the secondary goal, an open woodshop, a collaborative Co-creation space for the local community of Puerto Rico.
