Shaun's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped transition production to an external print shop, redesign website to fit current business offerings and ability to customize t-shirt designs, and cover filing fees associated with establishing a Louisiana business entity and trademark.

Shaun's story

A bit about me. I’m the oldest of nine children, blessed with having a Goddess of a mother named Pam, who instilled the value of individuality and living your truth within each of her children. I’ve wanted to take Equali Tees full throttle for a long time, but hardships have kept me back. I’ve never been one to let anything stop me though. I’m the type that goes through something and bounces right back to where I left off. I live and breathe Equali Tees. My business is the embodiment of my personal experiences. As a woman who is queer and black, I have felt the sting of sexism, homophobia and racism. One of my earliest memories is of an adult neighbor chastising her daughter for wanting me to come over their house. They were white. I am surrounded by inequality and constantly looking for unconventional ways to help make oppressed lives (including my own) easier and more fulfilling. My hope is to get the stories of those people told through our platforms. I was put on earth to find creative solutions that make life more beautiful. I genuinely believe that.
