Tursunbek's story

Tursunbek is 65 years old and married, and has a daughter and 3 sons. He is university educated and retired. He raises animals to bring in additional income for his family. Since starting in 1984, thanks to Tursunbek's hard work and his wife's help, his operation now has 11 cows, 50 sheep, 2 horses, and 3.04 ha irrigated land where he grows barley and clover. For the purpose of further developing his farm, being a regular bank customer, Tursunbek applied for a loan of 55,000 som (KGS) from Bai Tushum Bank to buy livestock to increase the size of his herd. Income from the loan will help Tursunbek buy livestock and improve his family's well-being.
