Dorathy's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support

A loan helped to purchase more rice, red oil, pepper, salt, and other items to sell.

Dorathy's story

Meet 47-year-old Dorathy from Liberia. She is a widow with six children. All of her children are currently attending school while living at home. She attended school up to sixth grade.

Dorathy deals in a business which sells rice, red oil, pepper and other items. She has been in this business for the past years now and works 20 hours per day, six days a week and has had no problem with her business.

Dorathy requested this loan from BRAC to purchase more rice, red oil, pepper, salt, and other items to sell and grow her business. She says that the extra income from this loan will help to take care of her family. She learned the trade from her mother and started selling with some financial help from her late husband. In the future, she wants to expand her business and continue educating her children. She says thanks and expresses appreciation to BRAC and the Kiva community for their support.
