Miatta's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support

A loan helped to purchase more dry fish to sell.

Miatta's story

This is 37-year-old Miatta, a married mother with 2 children. Both of her children are in school. Miatta attended school until 5th grade.

She deals in a business selling dry fish in order to help her husband with some household expenses, a business she has operated for 12 years and has no problems with her sales. She transports supplies to her business site by using a car or bike. She learned this trade from her mother and her father gave her money to start the business. Miatta sells Monday through Saturday from 7:00 a.m. up to 5:00 p.m.

To continue her sales, Miatta applied for a loan through BRAC Liberia, a Kiva field partner. The loan will be used to purchase more dry fish to sell to her good clients. She likes her business because it helps to support her children.

In the future, Miatta wants to build houses and continue her children's education. She wishes to say thanks.
