A loan helped to buy a solar system to heat water for the family house.

Ismaeel's story

Ismaeel is a 55-year-old married man from a village near Nablus city. He lives with his wife and one son in a small house. As an employee in the construction field, he earns an unstable income. This income barely covers all of the family's needs.

Because he is not able to save enough money, Ismaeel took a USD loan from FATEN. With this loan, he will buy a solar system to heat water for the family house. Palestinians use water boilers that use either gas or gasoline to heat water before a shower. This can be dangerous, expensive and inefficient. The solar system will help him to provide hot water without using electricity which is much more expensive.
