Rose's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy more bedding for resale to raise income for supporting her family.

Rose's story

Rose, aged 46, is a single mother of three children. She owns a shop selling bedding in Kagai town. This has been her main source of income for the past nine years.

She also carries out farming on a small scale for extra income. With these two businesses, she is able to provide for her children as well as educate them in good schools.

Rose has plans to expand her shop, but her working capital is insufficient to make it happen. She has therefore applied for a loan of 5,000,000 UGX from UGAFODE to buy more bedding, including bed sheets, bed covers, pillows, mattresses and mosquito nets. She is hopeful that, with increased stock, her sales will increase, and so her income.

This will make her financially able to finance the ever-inflating costs of living, thus bettering her children's livelihood. Rose is grateful for the financial support that will boost her business.
