Abizeranye Nyakizu Group's story

Thacienne is 45 years old, married, and has three children. She lives happily with her husband in the north of the country. She is very committed to the well-being of her family, and that is why she works hard daily to improve her family's living conditions.

She is the group leader of a group called Abizeranye Nyakizu, and in the picture, she is the one holding a register book in her hands.

Before, she sold only tomatoes but currently she owns a small boutique selling different items like sugar, rice, salt, etc. She is organized and very smart. Her community, when they see her, compares her with the bureaucrat staff because of her well wearing.

Now people are happy for the service and the profits are higher than before. She has been in this business for the past three years, and she created a job for one person to help her.

Lack of enough capital prevents her from reaching her target, and that why she is requesting a loan to purchase different items, like sugar, rice, salt etc., for sale. The profits generated by this loan will be used to pay her children’s school fees and to get basic needs, as well as expand her business.

Thacienne and her team are trying to pay on track, and this is her second cycle to request a loan. She is very appreciative toward the Kiva lenders for enabling this loan.
