Butseme Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy salted fish wholesale.

Butseme Group's story

Onifa is a customer of the MFI Hekima and the leader of the Butseme "banque villageoise". She is married, 43 years old, and the mother of 8 children who attend school. Her spouse is a tailor.

She sells salted fish and started her business 10 years ago, using starting funds she received from her husband. Later, she joined the Hekima program to get support for her business and she has been gradually progressing since.

She will use her new loan to buy salted fish wholesale. Her business' main challenge is the bad state of the roads she has to use to transport her merchandise.

She would like to see all of her children get an education. Finally, she would like to thank Hekima and its partners for the support they give to owners of non-bankable businesses.

Note: some of the customers wanted to be with their children in the photo.
