Esther's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped gain access to cost-efficient hybrid seeds and fertilizer for her crop cultivation and to use the profits from her farm to improve her life.

Esther's story

Happy and ever-smiling stands Esther, a 36-year-old mother of 3 who lives in Kitale. For the past few years, this enterprising lovely mom has been engaging in crop farming.

Esther dreams that through farming she will be able to pull away from poverty and see to it that all her family successfully has a good life. She is visionary and keen to ensure that she keeps on progressing.

Juhudi Kilimo, in partnership with Kiva, has extended its services to the remote areas in the Kitale region of Kenya, and the staff is keen to ensure that hardworking women have access to loans. She has been actively involved in mixed farming for the past few years. Esther loves farming, for it is her only way of securing a living for her family.

Esther is seeking a loan to buy farm inputs such as seeds and nutrient-rich fertilizers to improve her crop farm. Your loan will enable her to improve her production through the use of quality farm inputs. Through this intervention, she will be able to improve the quality of her farm products and attract more buyers, leading to more profits.
