Faith's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support

A loan helped to buy high-quality certified seeds and increase her farming so that she can provide a better life to her lovely children.

Faith's story

Humble and hardworking, this is Faith (39 years old and a mom of 8), a young warrior who lives in the Bomet area of Kenya.

Thanks to her daily effort, she has managed to get her children ahead, providing them with a good-quality education. Her primary sources of income are maize and animal farming. She also earns some income from a personal business. She is content with the farming way of life and has never had formal education or formal employment.

The Bomet area is favorable for farming, and that is why she is seeking a loan to buy seeds. With these seeds, she can reap maximum profits and increase her farming business.

Being a woman and accessing funds in Kenya, especially in the Bomet area, is very challenging. But Faith feels relieved knowing there are institutions such as Kiva that help enterprising women. Her goal is to improve her living conditions and secure the future of her children who are in school. Her biggest dreams are to be able to support her family by herself, to become independent, and to buy a home.

Faith is so thankful for your contribution and support.
