A loan helped to buy mulberry for her tapa-making business.

'Atilua's story

This is 'Atilua. She is 57 years old, married, and has five grown children.

'Atilua runs a business of tapa-making, and she is a member of a tapa-making group in their village. Together they make different types and sizes of tapas, according to their likes, as well as the customers' demands. Their tapa-making only runs once in every week. '

Atilua also has the talent of decorating tapas. She decorated her own, and some other women in their tapa group hire her to decorate their tapas. When her products are ready, she exports them overseas, sells them at the local market and also to random people in their village.

She has been running this business for a very long time, and it has been her family's main source of income. She applied for a loan in order to buy more mulberry to make more tapas, for her katoanga.

Her vision for the future is to build a bigger house for her family.
