Mele's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy groceries for her canteen business and also buy a new vehicle to help with the deliveries from her canteen.

Mele's story

Meet Mele. She is 55 years old, and she is a single mother to five grownups. Mele currently runs a canteen business where she cooks light food and sells it at the primary school. She has her own stall in the backyard of the school.

Mele wakes up at four every morning and prepares her canteen. She makes samosas, rots, burgers, sandwiches, hot dogs and also sells soft drinks. In addition to selling her food at the primary school, she delivers it to all the retail stores in their village. She borrows her neighbor's car for her deliveries.

Mele decided to apply for a loan, not only to buy groceries for her canteen, but also to buy a vehicle so that she can deliver her food whenever needed. Sometimes the neighbor's car is not always available for her to use.

Mele's vision for the future is to renovate their house and also build a fence for the safety of her family.
