Lineti's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support

A loan helped to buy pandanus for her weaving business and also pay for the export goods freight for her flea market.

Lineti's story

Lineti is a 54-year-old mother of four children and the wife of a farmer.

They live in their own home and she is running two businesses: weaving and a flea market.

She weaves different tao'vala, mats and fihu, with white pandanus. There are also two women who currently weave for her. All her weaving products are mainly exported overseas.

She also runs her flea market every Saturday at the local market. From her tent, she sells clothes, shoes, accessories, toys and also some other different goods.

Lineti has been running these businesses for more than 20 years now, and her family's life improvement was mainly from her business. From her business profit, her children are being educated, and do further education abroad. She is hoping to use her loan money to buy pandanus for her weaving, and also pay for the freight at the wharf. She encourages other women in her church as well as in the community to operate their own business and be independent.
