Bernabe's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to purchase another traditional milling machine in order to help the community to produce large quantities of products to sell.

Bernabe's story

Bernabe is 38 years old, married, and has four children. He lives happily with his wife in the east of the country. He is very committed to the well-being of his family, and that is why he works hard daily to improve his family living conditions.

Bernabe owns a traditional milling machine, and he gives service to the community to produce their products in order to sell them to the community. Bernabe did research where he lives, and he saw that they lack a milling machine. He bought one to help his community; now people are happy for the service and the profits are higher than before.

Lack of enough machines to do his business prevents him from reaching his target, and that why he is requesting a loan to purchase another traditional milling machine, in order to help the community to produce large quantities of their products to sell. The profits generated by this loan will be used to pay his children’s school fees, as well as expand his business.

Bernabe is hard working and always likes to see his community to thrive. This is his seventh year operating this business, and he has one employee to help him. He is very appreciative towards the Kiva lenders for enabling this loan.
