Jane's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support

A loan helped to purchase a high-yielding dairy cow and milk cans to help increase her milk-vending business and make her dream of future success a reality.

Jane's story

Jane is a mother of three children and is very hardworking and determined to achieve. She is a farmer living in Nkubu, a town whose surroundings have vast agricultural potential with numerous small farms and also vast agricultural enterprises.

Jane dreams of being able to give her family a solid reputation. She values education and this explains why she sent two of her children to school.

From Kiva lenders, she is borrowing 60,000 KES to purchase a high-yielding dairy cow and milk cans to increase her milk-vending business. This cow will boost milk production on the farm. As a result, she will have more milk for both consumption and sales.

With the money from the additional sales, she will be able to service her loan on time. With the increased income from the loan, Jane plans to settle the high farming costs of production. In the long run, her family will realize an improved standard of living.
