Josephine's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy more poultry and expand a poultry enterprise, enabling a member to make more profits and be able to support their family.

Josephine's story

Hello! Meet Josephine (a mother of three school-going children), who is living proof that hard work leads to success. She loves her children so much that she is willing to educate them until they successfully graduate from school. She obtains her daily bread through mixed dairy, poultry and crop farming.

Poultry farming is at the centre of her heart. Her biggest challenge, however, is meeting demand, which is very high. She lacks the funds to increase her poultry farming business, and she is seeking a loan of 50,000 KES (Kenyan shillings) to buy poultry.

Being a woman seeking to access funds is very challenging, but through institutions such as Juhudi Kilimo via Kiva, she feels relieved knowing that her dream will be achieved and that she will be able to buy more poultry. The extra income she will get will be used to fully repay the loan and permanently change her living conditions.
