Bendicion De Dios Group's story

Maria del Socorro, 46, is single and the mother of four children. She has kept for four years a small grocery store where she sells products for human consumption. She also works in agriculture during her free time, including coffee harvesting and planting and harvesting vegetables such as onions, potatoes, cabbage and more. She is a member of the communal bank Bendición de Dios, together with Santa Migdalia, who works making baked goods and nacatamales, and Sobeyda Elizabeth, who works as a seamstress.

With the previous Kiva loan, she was able to grow her business. Sales increased thanks to the financial help, she stocked her store and now her clients can find the products they need.

She is again requesting a loan from FUNDENUSE, her second Kiva loan, to continue investing in her business so that she can offer a greater variety of products to her clientele and thus keep increasing sales and profits. Her goal for the future is to diversify her business with new products.
