Yalila Veronica's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support

A loan helped to buy more clay, paints, oxides and carbonates.

Yalila Veronica's story

From early in the morning, Yalila is up getting her children ready to go to school. She then begins her work producing ceramics. She paints them to give them a better finish, offering that added value.

She started when a relative told her to come to Costa Rica where she could better sell her handicrafts. She did so and with her children began her business. Her greatest support comes from her eldest daughter who helps her to get the raw materials to make the ceramics. In addition to her handicrafts, she sells caps and stuffed toys with the Costa Rica logo.

Yalila has opted for a Kiva loan through MiCrédito with which she plans to buy clay, paints, oxides and carbonates for coloring the crafts she makes. In the future, she wants to have her own shop for her crafts, caps and stuffed toys, so that she can offer a better variety to her clients.
