Ekeunos Group's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support

A loan helped to buy pesticides and seedlings.

Ekeunos Group's story

Rose is 35 years old and is married, with four children who all attend school. She grows sorghum and millet, while her husband is a civil servant.

Rose is a member of Ekeunos Group, and through this group she is requesting a loan from VisionFund Uganda to buy pesticides and seedlings. "In the past seasons, my yields have been low due to poor quality of seeds which can easily be attacked by pests and diseases. In a farmers' seminar that was held in my community, we were taught about the good of planting quality seeds. Its then that I and my group members chose to get a loan from VisionFund Uganda to improve our farming skills," she states.

With quality seeds and the right pesticides, Grace's farm will have a better yield, enabling her sales and profits. Later she might acquire land to help her expand her farm.

Hardworking and honest, she is grateful to KIVA for the financial support.
