Noela's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to plough their plantation, hire men to help her husband with the plantation and also buy pandanus for her weaving business.

Noela's story

Meet Noela. She is 23 years old, married to a farmer, and they have two kids. They live in their own home, on the island of 'Eua. Noela and her husband grow crops and she has a weaving business.

Noela joins her neighbor for weaving. They conduct their weaving every day, and together they weave taovala and mats, with brown pandanus only. When her weaving products are ready, she sends these to her relatives overseas for marketing, and sometimes she sell it at the local market.

For their plantation, her husband takes full responsibility. During harvest time, Noela takes their crops to the market place for selling. Her main market day is Saturday when lots of people are in town for shopping.

They are doing a great job with maintaining their business. Noela is a very trustworthy client of the SPBD loan program. She is committed to her business and very honest with it. She is applying for a loan in order to plough their plantation, hire labor to help her husband, and also buy pandanus for her weaving. Her vision for the future is to build a financial security for her children when they grow up.
