Chilaya Santiago Group's story
The communal bank “Chilaya Santiago,” as part of the Copacabana Agency, is made up of eight members who are friends and neighbors of their area. It s directed by a board of directors where Martha is the president.
Martha is married and has six children. Currently she has a business selling fish. She tells that she learned this business a long time ago.
The loan that she will now take out will be to increase capital to purchase wholesale fish that she will acquire from the wholesalers of the city of La Paz. Later she will sell it at her point of sale. This way of working allows her to generate resources to support her family financially. Her aspiration is to grow her business. Martha asks that lenders trust their communal bank again.
