Carlos Torre Grupo 3 Group's story

Migueline is a Haitian immigrant woman who arrived in the Dominican Republic thirteen years ago in search of better living conditions. She came with her husband and two children. She lives with her family in a batey in the province of San Pedro de Macorís. The bateyes are very impoverished communities where people mostly Haitian immigrants live.
Migueline has been selling cleaning products such as disinfectants, chlorines, detergents, degreasers, and liquid soap, among other products, for four years. With the sales of these products, she generates an income that helps her support her family.
Migueline dreams of one day leaving the cycle of poverty in which she has lived since she was born.
She requests this loan to buy new merchandise and stock her business.
