A loan helped to buy farming inputs to boost the quality of her produce, earn more profits, and, as a single mother who is unwilling to see her children suffer, to support her children.

Mary's story

Mary is a single mother of three children, who is completely dedicated to her farming job. Despite the series of failures she has made in her life, she has never lost her hope of wanting to be successful. Mary is unwilling to let her children suffer, and that is why she injects passion and determination in her work. She is a horticultural farmer, although she also raises dairy cows and keeps poultry for the eggs.

The biggest challenge for farmers, especially in her remote village, is the high cost of farming inputs. Most farmers are forced to use old farming methods, and with time, the fertility of the soil is lost. Mary is seeking this loan so that she can use it to buy farming inputs, such as hybrid seeds and fertilizer. The returns on the investment will change her life and that of her entire household because she will use the additional income to raise their living standards and pay for her children's education. Mary has a great desire to succeed, and she thanks her lenders for their generous support.
