Rose's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support

A loan helped to buy flour, cooking oil, sugar, salt and pots for her business.

Rose's story

Rose is a 40-year-old woman who is a single mother of three children. They live in a community in Honiara, the capital of Solomon Island.

She runs a small business selling fish and chips and sweet cakes in her community and at the market to earn a living. She has been in this business for two years.

Rose has requested a loan to pay for additional flour, cooking oil, sugar, salt and pots to increase her stock and assist her in running her business.

She plans to use her profits to meet her family's weekly expenses and improve her business.

She joined SPBD in 2019 to gain access to financial services, and this is her first loan.
