Rosa's story

Rosa O. D. R., 54 years of age, lives in Santiago D. María of the Usulután region, located in the eastern part of the country. She lives with her son, who is an employee at a private enterprise. Rosa dedicates herself to selling French fries, which she sells with catsup, grated cheese and mayonnaise. Her business is located near a bus station, where people travel from the capital to Santiago D. María. This is a very strategic location since many travelers stop to buy her products, as they are hungry after the trip. This is how Rosa makes a living, hoping each day to earn a little more than the previous day. She is requesting a loan to have funds to invest into her business, to buy items such as potatoes, cheese, tomato sauce, oil, and gas. Having more ingredients and supplies will allow her to better tend to her customers. She does all this with the hopes of improving her business and, simultaneously, her sales. This is a key goal for Rosa, since her business is her sole source of income.
